About Dr. Boland
Michael F. Boland, MD has been an active neurosurgeon in the St. Louis community since 1992. He has served as the Chief of Neurosurgery at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital. Most recently, he has served as the Chief of Surgery at St. Luke’s. An Eagle Scout, he completed major degrees in Philosophy and Chemistry at Benedictine College, receiving his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia with a combined fellowship in pathology. He completed his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Michigan and is a permanent diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Boland is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Christian Medical and Dental Association and several state and local organizations. He has published articles and chapters and has made numerous presentations at the national and local levels.
Dr. Boland is dedicated to providing the best evaluation and treatment possible in an effort to diagnose and relieve surgical conditions affecting the brain and spine. His goal with every patient is to treat them as a person created in the image of God, caring for them with compassion, respect, and kindness while striving to provide the highest level of honesty and integrity.
